The Creamery

In 2004, we started to add value to our milk with an artisanal cheese production facility constructed on the farm.

Our cheese business flourished as we added varieties of Cheddar, BelPaese, Harvati, and Heritage (a Parmesan/ Swiss blend we created), Cheese Curd and Mozzarella. Our cheeses are made with milk only from our own cows.  In the summer of 2018, Sunset View Creamery became a state-certified raw milk producer.

At the farm store, the we currently sell 12 varieties of raw and pasteurized milk cheese, thirteen varieties of cheese curd, raw milk, locally sourced beef, free-range eggs, candies, maple syrup, honey, jams and jellies, breads , fresh veggies, coffee, tea & Ice Cream. In addition, we offer a variety of handmade gifts.

Meet your Cheesemakers!

CARM.jpg

Carm

Mom. Nonni. Entrepreneur. She has done it all. While Carm is a little camera shy, she is the reason the SVC exists today. Carm started experimenting making cheese in her kitchen until she decided that it’s time to make a business of this and SVC was born! The rest is pure history. Being more retired these days,, you wont see her making cheese, but you will hear the hum of her sewing machine as she loves to quit, or smell some of her wonderful food coming from the kitchen window!

Jess

Following in Carm’s footsteps, Jess took over making cheese weekly for all to enjoy. Jess has always had an interest in value added products working at the Cornell Dairy Plant while in college and thought she would make ice cream for a living one day. Little did she know she would marry a farmer with a creamery! Guess it was the perfect match!
